Pivot Tables
Hi everyone,
I am building a pivot table that is based on patient initials. Is there any way to sort them in the pivot table the way i have them laid out on the relating database? I have them listed the order in which they were enrolled in our studies, and that would be most logical for what we are doing. Right now, the table is sorted by patient initials alphabetically. If you someone could help me out on this, I'd appreciate it. -- Message posted via OfficeKB.com http://www.officekb.com/Uwe/Forums.a...tions/200508/1 |
You could create a custom list, and base the sort order on that, but
there's a limit to how much the list can hold. In a cell on a blank worksheet, type your list, then select it Choose ToolsOptions Select the Custom Lists tab Click the Import button, click OK When you create a new pivot table, items should be in the order of the custom list. To sort the items in an existing pivot table, select the field button, and choose DataSort Click the Options button, and choose your custom list.
