Pivot Tables
Hi all,
I have a pivot table based on a large set of sales data (20000 rows). It includes many various customers and products, therefore the drop down lists for the page fields are very long. This used not to be an issue as they were in alphabetical order. However, as I've added new data, the list is no longer in alphabetical order. Can anyone explain why that is? Does it simply add new items to the bottom of the list? Is there a way to force it to re-sort in order to incorporate the new data? I'd rather not re-create the pivot table every time. It has several calculated fields and extensive formatting. Thanks in advance, Mike |
Hi Mike,
Yes, Pivot Tables add new data to the bottom of the list out of alphabetical order. If you double click on the page field on the pivot table, the cell to the left of the frop down, select Advanced and then Under AutoSort Options, select Ascending.
