Automatic update of list in Excel

I have created a list that can be manually updated (by entering data into
the astrix cell), I have named these cells accordingly. In another worksheet
where the drop downs are - I have selected an error message to appear if new
data is entered. Is there anyway of automatically updating my list with new
entries?
