Extract one numerical value from single cell with multiple values?
I cut and paste data from another program into Excel and end up with rows of cells just like these (minus quotation marks): B2="PARTS 1068 928 1007 626 850 732 600 468 380 6659" B3="PARTS 205788 195118 189078 179515 169556 149411 148064 125511 112170 1474211" All of the data above is contained in a single cell after I paste it in - how can I extract the mathematical values and place them in individual cells for future calculations? Does Data-Text to columns (then work through the text wizard) do what you want? -- MrShorty ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MrShorty's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=22181 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=390402 |
MrShorty that was simply amazing! Thanks a million - for as long as I have worked with Excel I never knew that existed - it worked perfectly. -- cszy67 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cszy67's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=25625 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=390402 |
