SUBTOTALIF function

Why don't you introduce a SUBTOTALIF function for Excel. it will facilitate
many calculations.

Interesting. How do you anticipate this to work? What would your arguments
be, what would you be looking to achieve (as an example)?

Kind regards,
Aristotle

Thanks for you reply,
My goal is to be able to run the subtotal function for a certain entry in a
table or database, For example let us say that you are looking at the total
sales database for GM, and you would like to find out how much money did the
company make from GMC trucks sales in a certain state, if you were using the
SUMIF function to get the total amount of sales for GMC trucks nationwide,
then this number will not change with the filters you run. And there are many
other examples where a SUBTOTALIF function will be very helpful and
timesaving.
Regarding my view of the arguments for that function, I think it should be
very similar to the SUMIF function with the addition of the variable at the
begging, for example,

SUBTOTALIF(<Function num,<Range,<criteria,<sum range)

And also it would be very helpful if one can define some complex functions
in the <criteria field like if statements and logical operators like AND /
OR, whether in the SUBTOTALIF or the SUMIF function
