Excel should allow more options for formatting cells
 

It would be useful to be able to do more formatting of cells in worksheets to
make certain conditions readily apparent. These could be normal formatting
options or conditional formatting options or both.

Suggestions would include being able to vary brightness or intensity of
cells; giving the option to have cells flash or blink either in the
foreground, background or both; being able to make a cell make a sound if it
meets a preset condition/level.

I've seen and used these options on some spreadsheets as long as 19 years
ago and would like to see them in the premier spreadsheet program.
