sharing a macro
I have created a macro in EXCEL and is part of my PERSONAL.XLS how do I do
this. One way I did it was just cut and past but there must be a better way. Thank You Charles |
If you're going to share macros, you could create a new workbook named:
CharlesUtilities.xls Put all your macros that you want to share in that workbook. (Remove them from your personal.xls file, too.) Or if you want to share all your personal.xls, just rename it to CharlesUtilities.xls and share that workbook. Tell the recipients to put it in their XLStart folder (or open it when they need it). If you share your your macros using personal.xls, then you could be destroying their own version of personal.xls.
