pivot table

Hello
Can the data area in a pivot table just be a list of data, not a sum or
count etc - if so how can i instruct the table to show the data.

list of data eg
XX
AB

Pivot tables are designed primarily for aggregating (consolidataing by sum or
average or...) data. The closest you will get is to toss one of the
dimensions (data items) in the data area (count, sum or whatever) and then
hide the data area. It is a little cheese but it works.
