???is there a way to keep one row in view while scrolling down???

Hi all,
I'm trying to make a spread sheet that will hold many rows of data, so if
we're on, for example, the 1000th row the first row that says:

Month Date Name Etc

will still be visible.... like it doesn't move as your scroll. Is there any
way excel can do this?? Please give specific instructions.
Thanks in advance

CLR

Click on Cell A2, then do Windows FreezePanes...........row ! will stay
frozen as you scroll..........reverse the procedure to unfreeze it.........
