Excel 2003, Insert Function, create full name & descriptions
Function is the most powerful feature in Excel so why not make browse the
functions more verbose. There is room to add names & descriptions in the selection window. Right now it is blank and you have to click each formula code to see what it is and read a long description of what it does, it would be better with a Windows Explorer Details format using Industry Standard names & short description. Example: Code | Name | Description FV | Future Value | Returns of future value . . . PV | Present Value | Returns of present value . . . This would make it much easier to scroll, browse, find, & discover all the other functions. Presently they are represented by abbreviations. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
