How to Add a Calculation to a Pivot Table ?
This seems easy enough - and have figured out a quick & dirtly way - but need
to get it into a formula. 'Created a pivot table and need to calculated the difference between two columns ... e.g. Monday has 11 widgets and Wednesday has 16 widgets ... what's the increase? |
Enter your formula in an adjacent column. It should automatically fill in
the pivot table functions you need. At least that's what I've seen. "Cheryl B." wrote in message ... Hi, Barb -
Oh - I see. I need to type in the formula instead of mouse click cell J3 minus H3 Thanks for your response! "Barb Reinhardt" wrote: Enter your formula in an adjacent column. You can use the 'Difference From' custom calculation. There's an example
here, using two years. You could use days instead: http://www.contextures.com/xlPivot10.html#DiffFrom And there are instructions here for turning off the Generate GetPivotData featu http://www.contextures.com/xlPivot06.html Cheryl B. wrote: This seems easy enough - and have figured out a quick & dirtly way - but need to get it into a formula.
