how do i change the format for excel to day-month
I am asked to change the format of a date that is day-month-year to format
the dates as day-month. It is to my understanding there is a certain formatting in doing this. Can you help? |
Sure. Just select the cells, row, or column, and hit Format--Cells. Choose
date and see if the format you like is shown. If not, and you want something else, here's a short list: d = 1 dd = 01 m = 1 mm = 01 yy = 01 yyyy = 2001 dd-mm = 01-01 dd-mmm = 01-Jan and a wealth of others... ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com www.MyExpertsOnline.com "swy" wrote in message ...
