Hi All
When I opened a work book, it asked if I wanted to" read only" because it was in use. Is there a way that I can tell who's using it when I'm in the read only mode? ![]() Depends on the version of windows in use. Windows 2000 professional shows a "File in Use" window that will say the file is "locked for editing by 'USER ID.'" unfortunately, if the user doesn't put a user id into Excel, you are out of luck. -- Kestrel1492 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kestrel1492's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=24849 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=383602 |
