Links to 2nd closed worksheet fail when using offset function ??
I have an excel sheet that is to be populated with values from a second
sheet. I used the offset function to find values in columns adjacent account numbers on this second sheet. When I open the active workbook when the source data workbook is closed I get #VALUE!. When the source data workbook is opened prior to the active workbook the correct value is reported. How can I get the offset function to work when linked to closed workbooks? |
=offset() won't work with a closed workbook.
maybe you could replace it with =index() (depending on what your formula is doing??) Jordan795 wrote: I have an excel sheet that is to be populated with values from a second sheet.
