how to set up one cell that assigns a value based on the value of another cell

I work in the accounting department of a hospital that has 37 facilities,
each with their own ID. What I want to do is have one cell contain a drop
list so that the user can choose a facility and have another cell that
automatically inputs the correct ID based on what facility has been chosen.
The "If" function would work great only if it wasn't for its limitation on
nesting. I know how to produce the cell with the drop list. What I want to
know is how can set up another cell so that it automatically assigns an ID
that corresponds to the correct facilility.

Thanks
Joseph

Hello, Joseph. I have loaded a similar workbook, except it's part numbers

Here's the workbook:

Here's VLOOKUP:

Hope it helps!
