Reformatting formula

I have 1 column that has a number: 11-22-3333.
Another column has the same number in a different format: 11223333

Is there a formula that will reformat one of these numbers to look like the
other so I can match up additional data?

bj

is the number with the dashs text or just formated with the dashes?

If it is just formated they should say they are the same
if it is text and the other is a number you could use something like
using in your lookup formula
value(substitute(11-22-3333,"-",""))

CLR

First back up your data and try this on a copy...........

Highlight the cell(s) with the numbers with the dashes in them, then Edit
Replace FindWhat: - Replacewith: leave blank ReplaceAll..........
