I have an existing inventory with the item # and qty listed. When I add new
items to the inventory, I need to have a way to check for duplicates (besides the Find/Replace functions), and if there are duplicates, add the quantities together, otherwise add it as a new entry. HELP! |

Hi!
A couple of ideas .... If you already have dupes, that kind of renders these suggestions as pretty much useless! You can use data validation to prevent duplicates in the first place! You could use a formula to check for dupes of the item you just entered and you could even use a formula to tell you where that item is already located. Post back if you want to try these out.
