jump to hyperlink, extract value at specific destination in file
I have created a hyperlink in XL (version XP) to another XL-file with
measurement data. Now I want to display certain values of specific cells of this hyperlinked file in the first XL-document. All of this hyperlinking and displaying happens in one column of the first file. Once I have linked and displayed all the data I want to multiply this by simply draging the "formula" over many more colums so as to be able to display the data of similar hyperlinked files in each column. How do I do this? Philip |
Dear Sir, When you link a workbook Excel needs the File Name, The Sheet Name and the Cell Name. When you drag the formula Excel will keep exactly the same reference. However, if all the linked files are in the same folder and the information is contained in sheets named the same and, same cell reference you will only need to update the File Name part of the new references.
