What formula can I use to get daily totals from list
I need to track sales and be able to post daily, month-to-date and
year-to-date totals. I thought the best way was to have a running list but now I can not come up the formulas I need to puul out some of this data. |
How about a pivot table. Using a pivot table you can group dates by day,
month, quarter, year... It is very fast and easy... -- HTH... Jim Thomlinson "in trouble" wrote: I need to track sales and be able to post daily, month-to-date and year-to-date totals. Hi
This sounds like a job for a pivot table - which is designed to summarise data. Go to Data|Pivot Table and Pivot Chart. An introduction to them can be found he http://www.cpearson.com/excel/pivots.htm Hope this helps. Andy. "in trouble" <in wrote in message ...
