Button, now too thin, cannot select to delete
I inserted a button on my worksheet, but didn't select the format
control/properties to not move or size it with the cells. Somehow it's become a very thin button, but I can't get it selected to delete it. It's not a big deal, but asthetically it's bothering me. How can I get it selected and/or delete it ? Thanks, Steve |

Hi Steve
In XL2003 or older, goto EditGo to Press the "Special" button and select "Objects". This will highlight all objects on your worksheet. HTH John "Steve" wrote in message ... Still a line at 400%. Not that it matters, but it starts halfway in the O
column and goes through 3/4 of the S column. "Glenn" wrote: Steve wrote: I inserted a button on my worksheet, but didn't select the format control/properties to not move or size it with the cells. I'm surprised you can't select it. I can create a test case (put an object in
a cell, then delete that row) and I can still select it easily by hovering. Try this (Excel 2003, but look for an equivalent option if you are using 2007) open the drawing toolbar. click the "select objects" pointer icon hover over your line and see if it is selectable Alternatively, you could copy your data out to a new worksheet. That did it.

No, still couldn't get it selected, but I never would have thought of the new
worksheet. Thank for that. But was able to get it selected and deleted by John's suggestion below. Thanks again, Steve "ker_01" wrote: I'm surprised you can't select it.
