How do I put a formula into an unlocked cell on protected workshee
As soon as I protect a worksheet the function button on the toolbar is greyed
out. I can still type the formula into an unprotected cell manually, but can't select a formula from the greyed out Function button on the toolbar. Why does the function button become unavailable as soon as I protect the sheet? This did not happen in the past. |
How do I put a formula into an unlocked cell on protected workshee
Hi,
Most odd. I've tried to replicate this in E2003, E2007 & E2010 and I can't. Can you let us know the Excel version your using? Clarify what you mean by 'unprotected cell'. For example do you mean an 'Unlocked' cell on a protected sheet? Is the workbook protected? Is it shared? -- Mike When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the question.
