Depending on the detail of what the OP wants to do, it may be easier to set it
up in Excel as there are some patterns which are not amenable to the repeat
rules in Outlook (at least through 2007; I don't know about 2010).

For example, I have a meeting that occurs quarterly, on the Wed prior to the
4th Monday of the month. There is no rule in Outlook covering that, so I set
it up in Excel; and then import it into Outlook.

Of course, the OP's situation may not be as complex (and probably is not). Hard
to tell since he only asked in the message header, and gave no details in the
body.
