input time by keybrd in locked worksheet
What I want to do is have a user input time start and end in a time sheet to
account for worked hours by using a short cut key stroke but I don't want him to be able to just enter anytime he wants. By using the shortcut excel would enter the exact time. Can I do with with locked cell or how else? |

Darrell
The keyboard shortcut for entering the current time is Ctrl-Shift-; This works on locked cells but not if the worksheet is protected. Hi Darrell
Yes It can be done but with a macro only.Your cells will only lock if your sheet is protected.A simple macro could unprotect the sheet, insert the time in the active cell then protect the sheet, all in less then a second. Post back if you want to go in that direction. P.S. If you want a macro, I would post in the excel.programming group. HTH John "Darrell" wrote in message ...
