cell displays 0 when formula is valid
I have a VLOOKUP. The wizard box shows the formula result but it appears as
"0" in the cell. Formatting is general. Why doesn't the result display in the cell? |

Nick
The problem is resolved although I don't know how. When I opened the file today the zeros had been replaced by the formula result. This seems to be an intermittent bug. I've had previous problems where Excel displays the formula instead of the result. This time it displayed the zero instead of the result. It is not consistent across all cells in the spreadsheet. Reformatting, unlocking, etc. haven't corrected the problem. The formula results just re-appears, sometimes after a close and open. Sometimes after a recalc. Sometimes after switching from one spreadsheet to another, or one tab to another. I haven't been able to identify a repeating pattern to the problem. thanks "Niek Otten" wrote: Please post your formula, inputs and expected result -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "jto" wrote in message ...
