How to use numeric keypad in 7 Excel-(raw beginner)
I am an elderly new user of Excel and wish to use the numeric keypad. I can
use it in other places but seems to switch off in Excel. Please help me in really basic terms. Thank you. |
How to use numeric keypad in 7 Excel-(raw beginner)
Hi Copper, I think that you need to either turn on (or turn off) what is
called the Number Lock key. I do not have one of these of the keyboard on which I am working but most keyboards (including yours) will have one. It might be called NUM Lock or something like that. One you have turned it on (normall a light will display) you should then be able to use the numeric keyboard. If you are still having problems just post again and I will try and help you out further. I do not recall my Office installation doing anything to my num lock setting, so perhaps it was pressed inadvertently by this person during the install. |
