I posed a "Data Validation Question" on 17 Dec and have had no response to
date. I take it there is no solution.

IMHO, this is one fantastic site. Solutions are normally forthcoming within
a few hours or less.

For those who spent time on my question, thanks for the effort.

The question was tough because your requirements were poorly described.
Despite that you did get an answer to which you haven't responded.
