Subtotal function is greyed-out - can't insert
I am trying to insert subtotals into a spreadsheet. I have made sure there
are no blank dells or columns, but the "subtotal" option is still greyed out. Can anyone assist? Using Excel 2003. Thanks Jon |

Is the sheet protected? Unprotect it.
Do you have more than one sheet selected? Ungroup the sheets. Is the workbook "shared"? Unshare it. Hi,
The range which you are trying to run the subtotal functionality on may be a Table (List in Excel 2003). Remove the list and then you will be able to subtotal. To remove a list, go to Data List Conver to Range -- Regards, Ashish Mathur Microsoft Excel MVP www.ashishmathur.com "jmcclain" wrote in message ...
