Well, you haven't told us which formulae you have tried and what errors they
came back with, so it's not easy for us to tell you what you did wrong. Was one of the formulae =SUMIF(N2:N42,"Y",Q2:Q42) ? Both the below mentioned formulas will get you the result.
=SUMPRODUCT(($N$2:$N$44="Y")*($Q$2:$Q$44)) =SUMIF($N$2:$N$44,"Y",$Q$2:$Q$44) Change the cell reference N2:N44 & Q2:Q44 to your desired range, if required.
