What type of check box is it? There are 2 types, a Forms check box and a
Control check box. How you edit the text depends on what type it is. If it's a Forms type: Right click the check box Select Edit Text Make your change Select anywhere in the sheet outside of the check box If it's a Control type: Right click any toolbar Select Control ToolBox Click the Design Mode icon (the top left icon that looks like a triangle) Right click the check box Select Properties Select Caption Make your change Close the Properties window Click the Design Mode icon again to exit design mode Close the Control ToolBox toolbar As far as making the check box bigger -- you can't! A kludge work-around is to increase the zoom. Increasing the zoom will make the check box bigger but it will also make *everything* bigger. What you could do is use a smaller font, like say 6, then if you increase the zoom the check box gets bigger and the size 6 font will also look bigger. If you experiment you can get the check box to the size you want and at the same time get the font size back to what it originally was (or very close). -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "zack3317" wrote in message ... wondering how to edit the text of a check box and if there is a way to increase the size of the box itself? |
