Date in Spreadsheet that changes to random numbers
 

When I add and formate the date, ie: November 13, 2009, save it, close it and
when needed, open it, the date changes to a number 401010.

Please let me know what I need to do to correct it.

November 13, 2009 is serial number 40130 when cell is formatted as
General.

Don't know where you're getting 401010.

Is there some VBA code that changes your formatting to General when saving
or opening the workbook?
