How to subtract with 3D between 3 worksheets
 
I have 3 worksheets. First one with budgeted sales, second with actual sales
and I need to use a 3D reference to get the variance on sheet three.

should the formula be =sheet1!E22:sheet2!E22, cause this is adding not
subtracting? Thanks for your help?

wherever your cells are that you are subtracting -- Sheet1 and SHeet2 are
the sheet names and then e22 would be the cell reference in each sheet:

to subtract e22 in sheet 2 from e22 in sheet 1:

=Sheet1!e22 - Sheet2!e22
