I want to sort everything but my validation list
I created a couple validation lists on my worksheet and when I try to sort
the data in the worksheet, the validation data gets sorted, too, so the drop-down lists refer to cells that have different data than prior to the sort. I want to set up the worksheet to that I can protect the lists from sorting with the rest of the worksheet. Is this possible? |
maybe you could relocate the validation list to another part of the
worksheet or to another worksheet. Yes you can by giving it a name and =mylist -- Don Guillett SalesAid Software "Steve" wrote in message ... I thought you could not use data from other sheets to create a validation
list. Also, won't it just sort "mylist" just like it has been sorting my other lists? I'm not sure how to name a list. Could you please explain to me how to do
that? Thank you. "Don Guillett" wrote: As I said,,,,,,,,,, You can put on another sheet if you give it a name and refer to the name =mylist. Did you TRYU it?? If mylist is on another sheet how will it be sorted unless you want it sorted?? -- Don Guillett SalesAid Software "Steve" wrote in message ...
