Data Connection Parameter Issue

http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2027894 I am using Excel 2007 and SQL Server 2008. I have a stored procedure in SQL server that requires two parameters. In Excel I have created a connection using Microsoft Query which executes the stored procedure, takes two parameters from cells in the Excel workbook supplies them to the stored procedure and then returns the results of the stored procedure to a pivot table in the workbook. This all works fine. The problem is that upon saving my workbook and reopening it, Excel has lost the cell addresses of the cells containing the parameters. I can't figure out why it does this and it's causing me a real headache. If I create the same sheet but have the data fed into a table instead of a pivot table, it works fine. It only seems to affect data connections associated with a pivot table. |
