How do I auto copy text in a cell from one sheet to another

I am building a group of forms that are related. E.g. I want the text from
sheet 1 cell A24 to auto copy into sheet 2 cell D2.

in sheet 2 cell d2 put
=Sheet1!A24

Go to sheet 2, cell D2. Enter =, then go to sheet 1, and click on cell A24
and press enter. That's it!
