E-mail Addresses Won't Hyperlink in Excel 2007
Two of us have been working on a workbook and passing it back and forth
between us for revisions, etc. Neither one of us knowingly protected it. Now, new e-mail addresses won't hyperlink although we could do so previously. The INSERT toolbar, where the hyperlink button lives, is all greyed out with the exception of Header/Footer. On the REVIEW toolbar, the 'protect sheet', 'protect workbook', and 'allow uer to edit range' are all greyed out. How do I fix this? |

Go to Tools -- AutoCorrect Options -- 'AutoFormat As You Type' tab --
check the check box corresponding to the 'Internet and network path for hyperlinks' option. Hope this helps... If yes, plz click YES button... -- Sheikh Saadi "Gretchen" wrote: Two of us have been working on a workbook and passing it back and forth between us for revisions, etc. Neither one of us knowingly protected it. Thank you. I did as you suggested but the box was already checked. So I
unchecked then rechecked it, saved and closed the workbook then re-opened the workbook. Unfortunately, I still can't hyperlink those e-mail addresses. Any other suggestions? I would suggest you have more than one worksheet selected.

In the passing back and forth have you managed to saveas a Shared Workbook?
If so, many functions are not available.......inserthyperlink being one of them Also Protect sheet and Allow users to edit ranges will be unavailable. Unshare the workbook and you will get your options back. ReviewShare Workbook and remove the sharing.
