Change the cell's format to Text (or precede the entry with an apostrophe...
it won't print and the entry will be text).

What do you want the result to be?

If you want the cell to display
9 - 2
then enter '9 - 2

If you want the cell to display
7
then enter =9-2

Hope this helps / Lars-Åke
