Ar Bs Ec Ar Bs Ec
B A C B B I am trying to count entries for the data above. The 1st 3 columns are equal to 1 entry each, and the last 3 columns are equal to half an entry. I want to count the total no of entries. So for the above the result would be 2.5. Column 4 and 6 would be discounted because column 1 and 3 have a grade in there. Not sure how to start, would be grateful for help. Thanks |

i would do counta(a2:c2) which would give 2. BUt i then need it to not count
column 4 and 6 as column 1 and 3 have got data in there, but count column 5 as 1 and then divide by 2 to get half an entry. How about this:
=COUNTA(A2:C2)+0.5*SUMPRODUCT(--(ISTEXT(D2:F2)),--(ISBLANK(A2:C2))) -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "mits" wrote: i would do counta(a2:c2) which would give 2.
