Drop Down Lists: Allow option of adding own data if not in drop do
I would like to create a drop down list for user to select from but also
allow them the choice of typing in their own data if the item they want is not in the list. Is that possible? |

Just disable the error alert.

This setting does not alter the display of validation lists.

On the Settings tab, select List and make sure In-cell dropdown is checked.

Just be aware that using this method does add the new item to the source list.
