National language function names
Hi All,
Does an English language Excel2003 recognize a function written in a national language? E.g. in a workbook produced by a Hungarian language version contains =SZORZATĂ–SSZEG(...), which is =SUMPRODUCT(...)'s equivalent. Shall it be transformed to =SUMPRODUCT(...) when opened in an English language version? Thanks, Stefi |

Yes. Not the old Analysis Toolpak functions, though.
There may be problems with constants, like FormatStrings in the TEXT function and R1C1 style addresses in the INDIRECT() function, and probably more. With Excel2007 there is another issue with ATP functions; look he http://www.rondebruin.nl/atp.htm -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "Stefi" wrote in message ...
