Suppose, 'Col A' has a lot of text data, how can i find it out the duplicate data. thanks |

Enter this formula in an unused column and copy down. =COUNTIF(A:A;A1) Unique text result is one, for duplicates both entries will have the value 2 (or 3 in case of 3 identical strings). If you are looking to generate a unique list you can use Autofilter option.. 1. Select the range in Col A including the header. You need to have header for ColA 2. From menu DataFilterAdvanced FilterCopy to another location 3. In copy to I have selected G1 and check 'Unique records only' 4.
