Default autofilter in excel bug ?

Hi, has anyone run into an issue where when an autofilter is done on a huge
file(3000 rows, and 27 columns), all of the data values are not displayed if
you filter on a specific data value in the column. Note that if a manual
search is done without the autofilter on, the data value(s) can be found.
Very strange.

Is this a bug? Thanks for the input,

It's not a bug, Autofilter displays a maximum of 1000 rows, you can get
round it with Advanced filter, excellent tutoriol available from Debra
Dalgleish, MVP, here

Regards,
Alan.
