I cannot get Excel to see my data source ( Fox Pro Tables). I have tried to
update, and add a VFP driver(Which is already installed) but I cannot get it to list in my available data drivers. I get stuck at the"you must have the lates update for FoxPro visual driver.....) HELP! I cannot get my piviot tables completed..... |
Hi Bob,
The latest FoxPro and Visual FoxPro ODBC drivers are downloadable from http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/updates. Its version 6.01.8629.01. If you're using Windows 2000 it may not allow you to install the latest driver, supposedly because W2K already has it. Just to be sure, you're working with FoxPro "free" tables, not a DBC (i.e. a DBC file is not present (usually) in the folder where the tables are? Also, do you know what version of FoxPro the tables were created with? New data features added in VFP7 and above can't be used with ODBC. However, no matter which of the later versions of FoxPro the tables were created with, if none of the new features were used then they can be read with ODBC. -- Cindy Winegarden MCSD, Microsoft Visual Foxpro MVP www.cindywinegarden.com Blog: http://spaces.msn.com/members/cindywinegarden "Bob" wrote in message ...
