Is there a formula to use if you want the answer Y or N in cells without
having to type it all the time for (example formatting the column so that if
I click the mouse twice Y comes up if I click once N comes up.

Hi,

No formula but you can use vba in which case I would double-click to toggle
thru all three possibilities - Y, N, and blank. Will that work for you?

Since it seems that you want to stay away from the keyboard, why not create
a "Data Validation" drop down list, where there are only those two (Y - N )
choices?
