Max IF
Hi,
What is the easiest way to make a max/av/min IF formulas? Supposing I have the following list A 1 B 2 B 2 C 3 A 5 I would like a function that will calculate the max av and min for A, B and C hence returning the following output. Max Av Min A 5 3 1 B 3 2.5 2 C 3 3 3 I know how but it seems more awkward that it needs to be. Thanks LiAD |

Max IF
Please note that this is an array formula. Within the cell in edit mode (F2)
paste this formula and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to apply this formula. If successful in 'Formula Bar' you can notice the curly braces at both ends like "{=<formula}" =MAX(IF(A1:A5="A",B1:B5)) =AVERAGE(IF(A1:A5="A",B1:B5)) =MIN(IF(A1:A5="A",B1:B5)) If this post helps click Yes --------------- Jacob Skaria "LiAD" wrote: Hi, What is the easiest way to make a max/av/min IF formulas?
