Having Issues

Function Question

I know this should be easy, but I haven't done formulas for a while.

I am trying to copy top to bottom of a spreadsheet via formulas instead of
copying and pasting them.

General idea:
If a cell is blank, leave it blank but if the cell contains any data, copy
the data.

Function Question

Hi

If you want to get information from say sheet1 into sheet2, then in sheet 2
you could put a formula like

=IF(Sheet1!A1="","",Sheet1!A1)

in cell A1 and then drag down and across as needed.
But bear in mind this is very different from copying, because if the data
changes in sheet 1 it will also change in sheet 2.

The only way to copy data is to use copy and paste as far as i know.

Function Question

If you are looking to copy the spreadsheet altogether as you mentioned ('copy
top to bottom of a spreadsheet ') right click on the sheet tab and try copy
worksheet option to copy that to a new workbook or to an existing workbook.

If this post helps click Yes

Having Issues

Function Question

I am actually trying to copy cells from the top of the page to the bottom of
the page. Like a half page invoice. Copy the top invoice to the bottom so the
exact invoice appears on both halves so I don't have to print 2 pages of the
same invoice.
The top contains data and functions.

Assume the "top" page starts in cell A1 and continues down and across to G20.
In cell A21 enter the formula =A1 and then copy down and across to cell G40.
Select rows 1:20 and copy them. Then select rows 21:40 and Edit / Paste Special
/ Formats.

Function Question

To prevent zeros from appearing when a cell is blank, use Glenn's method but
change the formula to =IF(A1="","",A1) entered in A21 and copied down and
across to G40.
