ADDITIONAL FIGURES IN COLUMN DON'T ADD TO TOTAL IN EXCEL
on my spreadsheet a totals formula, in this case, =Sum(D1:D35), will not
change when new figures are added to the column unless I double click and then enter in the total cell, how can i make this work automatically as it usually does. my spreadsheets are on a floppy disk - does this make a difference? -- Krysy Albutt |
Keeping files on a floppy is OK, so long as you don't open them from the
floppy. Doing so is a prescription for file corruption, so copy them to the hard drive before opening them. The calculation problem sounds as though calculation has been set to manual. Change it by using the menu to select ToolsOptionsCalculationAutomatic.
