Duplicating check boxes with formulas
Hi,
Does anyone know how to duplicate (i.e rapidly copy) a cell containing a checkbox and it's associated linked cells with formulas down an entire column in an Excel sheet? When I try to copy and paste my checkbox cell, it duplicates the exact identity of the original linked cell, instead of autoadjusting it to refer to the adjacent cell in the new row where it has been pasted. Then, when I check one of those new boxes, it changes the status of every box that was pasted because they all are linked to the same cell. The only way I have found to correct this is by going in and changing the linked cell for every single newly pasted box under the controls option for each box. I need to populate the entire column but this would take hours and hours! Thanks in advance. wcollatz |

A simple macro can do the job real quick.
What is the name of the check box? Where do you want it copied to? Where are the linked cells? What text do yo want in the each checkbox. What is the sheet name?
