How do I find the distribution of a sample mean????
The mean of the sample is almost always extremely close to the mean of the
population as a whole. The standard deviation of the sample is (statistically) smaller than the standard deviation of the population. It is expressed as the standard deviation of the population divided by the squart root of the sample size. In Excel if the S.D. of the population is 300 nd our sample is 42 we should see the sample s.d. be =300/42^(0.5) or 46.29100499 See: http://www.langara.bc.ca/mathstats/m...g/sampling.htm or http://www.stat.yale.edu/Courses/1997-98/101/sampmn.htm -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200849 "IHateStatistics!" wrote: I have experienced nothing but frustration with this excel in office 2007.
