I can not sort data - why
Could be one of many reasons or a combination of reasons why you can't sort.
What happens when you try? What type of data are you attempting to sort? Is the worksheet protected? Do you have more than one sheet selected? On and on and on......................... Show us an example of your data as it is and what you want to do with it. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Wed, 8 Apr 2009 08:58:05 -0700, CAKE LADY <CAKE wrote: |

This is a inventroy list with 4 colmuns that I have been using for years.
Untill 2 weeks ago I could select and sort the list. Now the "data" menu bar appears in shaded gray and I can not select and option on the menu. This has not affected any of my other spreadsheets. It is not protected - I check that - I have closed the spreadsheet and reopened it. "Gord Dibben" wrote: Could be one of many reasons or a combination of reasons why you can't sort. Did you check to see if you had multiple sheets selected?
