subtotal function won't work
Hi -
I'm using subtotal to count records in a spreadsheet, which I've used hundreds of times before. Unfortunately, this time the function continues to return the value "0". I've tried turning filters on and off, auto calc on and off, tried different columns, tried changing the subtotal function from 2 to 102 and back. All attempts return a value of "0". Any thoughts? =subtotal(2,b2:b100) in a spreadsheet in which the column b has names of individuals in each row beginning with 2, and I want to count the number of individuals as filters are applied to other columns in the spreadsheet. |

Never mind! As soon as I posted I tried the countA function instead. I
thought I had done so already but apparently not. Apologies to all! "RicBob" wrote: Hi - I'm using subtotal to count records in a spreadsheet, which I've used hundreds of times before.
